INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)
IOP provides a weekly multiple service menu of individual, family psychiatric consultation, outreach, and in-home contacts designed to prevent out of home placement and/or inpatient psychiatric care.
The Center offers two dedicated Intensive Outpatient Programs, in addition to its general IOP described above.
Some children and youth are involved in the juvenile justice system due to unmet mental health needs. This program provides clinical and case management services to this target population in order to address the issues that resulted in juvenile justice involvement.
Children “stepping down” from the Center’s most intensive service (EDT) are offered this intermediate treatment step between EDT and routine outpatient care. This program offers 4 to 8 weeks of intensive outpatient treatment with multiple weekly contact including case management and outreach services. This program also accepts referrals from local hospital emergency room discharges when intensive outpatient service can prevent an inpatient hospitalization.
